Oneness--Praying Scriptures—A Special Prayer Wednesday 9/26/2012
A Prayer--of Confession & Thanksgiving
As for me O God, I was dead in my transgressions and sins, in which I used to live when I followed the ways of this world; and when I followed the ways of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, that spirit that is now at work in those who remain disobedient.
I confess Lord that I lived wholeheartedly in these ways at one time, gratifying the cravings of my sinful nature and following its desires and evil thoughts. Like the rest, Father, I was by nature an object of your wrath.
So I give you thanks Father, and I praise you, that because of your great love for me, and your rich mercy for me, you made me alive with Christ even when I was dead in my transgressions. O God it is by your grace that I have been saved.
And I also give thanks Father that you raised me up with Christ and seated me with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus my Lord, in order that in the coming ages you might show the incomparable riches of your grace, expressed in your kindness to me in Christ Jesus.
For I say it once again O God, that it is by your grace that I have been saved, through faith---and this not from myself Father, it is a gift to me by you, my God. It is certainly not by my works O Lord, so that I will not boast, except in Christ Jesus my Lord.
For I praise you and I thank you that I am your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which you, my God, prepared for me to do far in advance, even before I was born.
So as often pray Lord, You are my God and I will give you thanks. You are my God and I will exalt you. I give you thanks Lord for you are good and your steadfast love endures forever.
In Christ Name I Pray
Amen
