A Prayer—More Than Conquerors
Holy Father since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses in heaven, I pray for the strength today to throw off everything that hinders me from a deep loving obedient relationship with Jesus Christ my Lord.
I pray for the strength from heaven to throw off the sin that can so easily deceive me and entangle me. I pray for the strength to run with divine perseverance the race marked out for us, forever fixing my eyes upon Jesus Christ.
And Father, what should I say in response to this great salvation? If you our God is for us, who can be against us? Who shall separate me from the love of God in Jesus Christ my Lord? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or the sword? For the sake of Christ, Father, we face self-denial and death-to-self all day long with great joy; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered for sake of the gospel of peace!
So, I give thanks to you our God that in all these things we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus who loves us. For Father I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
In His Mighty Name I Pray This Father,
Amen
