Oneness--Praying Scriptures—A Special Prayer Monday 9/24/2012 A Prayer—Of Thanksgiving
The heavens declare your Glory O God; even the skies proclaim the work of your hands. Day after day they pour forth speech about you; night after night they display the knowledge of your existence. There is no speech or language where the voice of your creation does not display your Glory. For the creation itself teaches us about you God; the creation itself making who you clear and plain to us.
For since the creation of the world Father, your invisible qualities—your eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what you have made, so that men are without excuse for not giving you thanks. So Father, I give you thanks for Jesus, the author of our salvation for through him all things in creation were made; and without him nothing in creation would have been made.
I give thanks that you have given me new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead; I give thanks that you have given me an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade, being kept in heaven for me. I give thanks that through faith in Jesus I am shielded by your power until the 2nd coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
So Lord since all my hope is in you through Christ, please forgive my hidden faults; keep me also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. I pray to never exchange my knowledge and gratitude for the glory of the immortal God for lies, and the worship of the idols of immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, greed, or fear.
For I thank you Almighty God that you chose me in Christ Jesus before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in your sight. I thank you that in your great love, you predestined me to be adopted as your son (daughter) through faith in Jesus Christ even as the creation continues to wait in eager expectation for more of the sons of God to be revealed.
So may your Glorify and the radiance of Jesus Christ be revealed even more in my life O Lord, as I never fail to give thanks and exalt your holy name in my life! May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my God, my Rock and my Redeemer!
