Oneness--Praying Scriptures—A Special Prayer Saturday 9/29/2012 A Prayer—To Overcome
Holy Father since through your mercy I have faith in Jesus Christ; and since in Christ I have you Father as my very great reward, I pray to never lose heart. For when you promised me, O God, that you would let light shine out of darkness, you made your light shine in my heart; you gave life; you gave me the light of Christ in my heart. I praise you and I thank you Lord that you gave me the knowledge of your glory, displayed in the face of Jesus Christ.
Although during these last days, we are hard pressed on every side Lord, we are not crushed because of your mercy. Although the arrows of Satan try to outwit me, I am fully aware of his schemes and refuse to give into despair; a torrent of emotions attempt to overwhelm me Lord, but I know that I am not abandoned.
For I always carry around in my heart and in my mind the life, the death, the burial, the resurrection, and the ascension of my savior Jesus Christ, so that HIs life may also be revealed in me; so that his life may be revealed in my body and in my spirit.
So I pray Father, to always keep the treasure of Christ buried deep in my heart to show that your all-surpassing mercy and power to overcome evil comes from you Lord and not from me. Therefore Lord we do not and we will not lose heart. Though outwardly our bodies will see decay, yet inwardly I am being renewed day by day. For these light and momentary troubles are achieving for me an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
So Lord, in Christ name I throw off everything that hinders me from the knowledge and love of you my God. In persevering faith I pray to fix my eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. I pray to forever consider my loving savior, who endured opposition from sinful men, so that I will not grow weary and lose heart.
For I know, O God, that you have eternal good stored up for me in Christ, just as you promised. So I trust in you with all my heart; I trust in God my savior. According to your goodness to me in Christ, may your kingdom come into my life Father, may your will be done; for in Christ alone I am joyfully receiving the goal of my faith; the salvation of my soul.
For you are the Living God and I rejoice in you O Lord; I will be joyful in God my savior. You, my Sovereign Lord, you are the one who gives me strength; you are my rock, and you are my shield. You are faithful Lord in all that you do; so I pray that you keep your promise to strengthen me and to protect me from the evil one through the power of that name that is above all names, Jesus Christ our Lord. In Christ Name I Pray, Amen 2 Corinthians 4, 2 Corinthians 2:10-12, Proverbs 3, Habakkuk 3:18, Hebrews 12: 1-3, Genesis 15:1, John 1:1-2, 1 Corinthians 15:3-6, Luke 24:49-51, 2 Thessalonians 3:3, Philippians 2:9
