Oneness--Praying Scriptures—A Special Prayer Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, 11/22/2012

Oneness--Praying Scriptures—A Special Prayer Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, 11/22/2012

A Prayer of Thanksgiving
Praise the Lord, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples. For great is his love toward us, and his faithfulness endures forever. Praise the Lord.

So on this traditional day of Thanksgiving we give you thanks, Lord God Almighty, the maker of heaven and earth for you are good to us O God. Even when our hearts are wicked and ungrateful your kindness to us continues, and your mercy is without measure. You cause your sun to rise on both the good and the evil, sending your blessed rains on the righteous and the unrighteous.

The One at Your right hand has done mighty things O God, and our hearts overflow with gratitude for His works! The One at your right hand is lifted high and with thanksgiving we proclaim what He has done. Therefore we enter your gates, O God, with joy and thanksgiving for you answered our cry for redemption through Jesus Christ our Savior.

By the blood the lamb, you have become our salvation. The Lord God has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes. The Lord is God, and he has made his light shine upon us. You are our God, and we will give you thanks; you are our God, and we will exalt you. We give you thanks Father for you are good; and your love endures forever.

We thank you for our families; we thank you for our friends; we thank you for the Saints; we thank you for the Church; we thank you for our resources, and we thank you for your Word. We thank you for our leaders, and we praise and thank you for your Holy Spirit.

Above all we thank you for your Son. For you, our God, so loved the world that you gave us your one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Lord Jesus we thank you for your reverent submission to our God, and we thank you for the Cross.

With Thankful hearts we pray in Your Name
Amen
