Oneness--Praying Scriptures—A Special Prayer Friday 11/30/2012
A Prayer—of Submission & Humility

I pray today, Lord God, for a heart of submission and humility for myself, my family, and the Church. I pray for reverent submission toward you; and that we would always clothe ourselves with humility toward one another, because we know and acknowledge that you, our God, oppose the proud but give grace to the humble.

Therefore we sincerely humble ourselves under your mighty hand Father, knowing that you will lift us up in due time. I pray that we will imitate Christ’s humility and submit ourselves to one another out of reverence for Jesus Christ.

In this entire holy process of learning humility, Father, I pray that we would be like-minded in Christ, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose, doing nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. May our attitudes be like that of Jesus Christ, taking the very nature of true servants of the living God, and in humility considers others better than ourselves; looking not only to our own interests, but also to the interests of others.

And I pray earnestly this day Father that each of us continues to work out our salvation with fear and trembling, for it is you, our loving and faithful dear God who works in us to will and to act according to your good purpose.

And I pray that we would wholeheartedly and faithfully submit ourselves to you O God, and resist the schemes and temptations of the devil, standing firm in the faith; and we trust that you, the God of all grace, who called us to your eternal glory in Christ will yourself restore us and make us strong, firm and steadfast. 

To you be the power and the glory in all that we are, forever and ever Father.

A Prayer—of God’s Wisdom & Power

Father, I will praise your name forever and ever; for all wisdom and power and glory are yours. By your power you change the times and the seasons; by your wisdom you set up leaders throughout the world, and you depose them too. You alone grant wisdom, O God, to the wise and the knowledge of your Son to the faithful. You and you alone Lord reveal the deep and hidden things of heaven; you alone have revealed the mystery of Christ that we so treasure. 

You know what lies in darkness, O God, for nothing in all creation is hidden from your sight. Everything is uncovered and lay bare before the eyes of whom we must all give an account. And this is the message we have heard from Christ and we declare to all: that God, our God, is light; and in him there is no darkness at all. 

So I thank you and praise you, O God and Father or our Lord Jesus Christ. For in Christ you have bestowed favor and honor upon us; no good thing have you withheld from those who remain faithful to our Savior Jesus Christ. 

You have set eternity in our hearts so that by persistence in doing good we seek glory, honor and immortality by your will; and by your spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons & daughters, the redemption of our bodies and the eternal salvation of our souls.

A Prayer—Love of the Word 

Teach me, O Lord, to follow Jesus Christ, and I will do so to the end. Give me understanding, and I will keep your word and obey it with all my heart. Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight. Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain. Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life in Christ according to your word. 

Fulfill your great and precious promise to your servants, so that you may be feared. Take away the disgrace I dread, for your laws are good. O How I long for your precepts! Preserve my life in the righteousness of Jesus Christ.

May your unfailing love come to me, O Lord, your salvation according to your promise; then I will answer the one who taunts me, for I trust in your word. I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts. I will speak of your statutes boldly and will not be put to shame, for I delight in your commands because I love them. 

I lift up my hands to your commands, which I love, and I meditate on your decrees.

A Prayer—to Make our Calling & Election Sure

Holy Father, I thank that your divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. We praise you this day and we thank you Lord God, that through your divine power , your glory and goodness you have given us your very great and precious promises, so that through them we may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

Therefore for these very reasons, as we approach and enter this New Year, I pray that we, your people, make every effort to add to our faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. 

I pray that you would enable us to possess these qualities in increasing measure O God, so that we may be kept from being ineffective and unproductive in our knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. And may we never ever be nearsighted and blind Father to all that you have done for us in Christ; and may we never ever forget that we have been cleansed from all our past sins.

Therefore, Lord, I pray that we become even more eager this coming year to make our calling and election sure. We praise and thank you Lord God, that if we do these things, by your divine promises, we will never fall, and will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 
By your continued mercy may your Holy Spirit dwell richly and powerfully in our lives and in increasing measure each day! 

We offer these Prayers in Christ’s precious and holy name.

A Prayer--of Thanksgiving 

O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! I thank you Father for your rich mercy, and I thank you for the great love that you have shown us in Christ. Even when we were dead in our sin, you made us alive with Jesus Christ our Lord. So I thank Lord for your mercy; I thank you Lord for your kindness.

It is by your grace Father that we have been saved; your gift which we have not earned nor do we deserve. For you have set your glory above the heavens and granted us redemption through the blood of Jesus Christ. When I consider your salvation, the heavens, and the work of your hands, what is mankind that you are mindful of us?

For in Christ Jesus our Lord you have blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus; and I give you thanks Father that you chose us in Him before you created the world to be holy and blameless in your sight. In Christ Jesus you crowned us with glory and with honor.

So I thank you that in love you predestined us to be adopted as your sons and daughters through faith in Jesus Christ, in accordance with your pleasure and your will. So I praise you and I thank you for this glorious grace which you have freely given us in the One that you love.

I thank you Lord God, that in Him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of all our sin. And I stand in awe that you have lavished this love upon us in Christ, in accordance with the riches of your grace with all wisdom and understanding.

So Lord it is right for me to thank you; it is right for me to praise you. O Lord our Lord how majestic is your name in all the earth.

A Prayer—Perseverance & Focus for the Church during the Holidays

Holy Father since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses in heaven, I pray for the strength, especially during this holiday season, to throw off everything that hinders us from our intimacy and obedience to both you and Jesus Christ.

I pray also that we would be diligent in throwing off the sin and the temptations and arrows from evil that can so easily plague, deceive, and entangle us. 

As Noah, in holy fear, built the Ark, may we, also in holy fear, and reverence run with perseverance the race in Christ marked out for us. In this race, O God, I pray that as the body of Christ we would fix our eye firmly upon Jesus, the author and the perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him, endured the cross, scorning its shame, and then you sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Father I pray earnestly for the Saints this holiday season, that we would all consider the Cross, the death, the burial, the resurrection, and the ascension of Jesus, who endured opposition from sinful men and from Satan so that we will not grow weary and lose heart this holiday season.

Father, may your Kingdom come in our lives; may your will be done.

I continue to ask Lord, that you, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that we may know you better. 

I pray also that the eyes of our hearts may be enlightened in order that we may know the hope to which you have called us, the riches of your glorious inheritance in the saints.

For the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One Jesus Christ is our understanding!

A Prayer of Thanksgiving 
Praise the Lord, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples. For great is his love toward us, and his faithfulness endures forever. Praise the Lord.

So on this traditional day of Thanksgiving we give you thanks, Lord God Almighty, the maker of heaven and earth for you are good to us O God. Even when our hearts are wicked and ungrateful your kindness to us continues, and your mercy is without measure. You cause your sun to rise on both the good and the evil, sending your blessed rains on the righteous and the unrighteous. 

The One at Your right hand has done mighty things O God, and our hearts overflow with gratitude for His works! The One at your right hand is lifted high and with thanksgiving we proclaim what He has done. Therefore we enter your gates, O God, with joy and thanksgiving for you answered our cry for redemption through Jesus Christ our Savior.

By the blood the lamb, you have become our salvation. The Lord God has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes. The Lord is God, and he has made his light shine upon us. You are our God, and we will give you thanks; you are our God, and we will exalt you. We give you thanks Father for you are good; and your love endures forever.

We thank you for our families; we thank you for our friends; we thank you for the Saints; we thank you for the Church; we thank you for our resources, and we thank you for your Word. We thank you for our leaders, and we praise and thank you for your Holy Spirit.

Above all we thank you for your Son. For you, our God, so loved the world that you gave us your one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 

Lord Jesus we thank you for your reverent submission to our God, and we thank you for the Cross.

Great and marvelous are your deeds Lord God Almighty; just and true are all your ways, O’ King of the ages. Who will not fear you, O Lord God, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you O God, for your righteous acts in Christ have been revealed.



Therefore, day and night, O God may we never stop praying and declaring with all of our heart that holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, the one who was, you are the one who is, and you are the one who is to come.

And I give praise that you alone are worthy, my Lord and my God, to receive glory and honor and power, and thanks, for Father, you created all things, and by your will they were all created and have their being. For in you Lord we live, and we move and we have our being.

And Lord Jesus Christ, we confess that you are worthy to take our Fathers scroll and may you open its seals of judgment soon; because you were slain, and with your blood Christ you purchased us all for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. Lord Jesus you have made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and may your will reign here on earth through your Saints.

A Prayer—Thanksgiving for Deliverance 

I love you O Lord, for you heard my voice; you heard my cry for mercy. Because you turned your ear to me, I will call on you as long as I live. The cords of death had entangled me, the danger of Sheol was before me; I was overcome by trouble and sorrow. 

Then I called on the name of my Lord Jesus Christ; I made my good confession that Jesus Christ is Lord. O Lord, save me, I prayed, and by your grace you saved me O God; for you are full of compassion. You protect and bless the simplehearted who are poor in spirit, and you have given us the kingdom of heaven; You have blessed those who mourn and wail, and comfort us in our time of need; you have blessed those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, and guarantee us to be filled; you blessed those who are pure in heart, and assure us that we will see you face. 

So I tell myself, be at rest once more, O my soul, for the Lord God has been good to you. For you, O Lord, have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before the Lord in the land of the living. 

I believed in your word; I took it’s warnings to heart. Therefore I said, "I am greatly afflicted, and in need of a Savior;” then you answered me with Christ’s redeeming blood. How can I repay you Lord for all your goodness to me? I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I will fulfill my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people. 

O Lord, truly I am your servant; I am your servant, an ambassador of Christ, as you continue to make your appeal to mankind through us ; by Christ you have freed me from my chains of sin. Therefore teach me, O God, how to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to you through Jesus Christ our Savior.

I will sacrifice a thank offerings to you O Lord, and call on the name of the Lord each day. I will fulfill my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people, in the courts of the house of my God. Please bless us O God to show mercy to one another; bless us O God to serve as your peacemakers with mankind. 

And we thank you O God for your mercy, and praise you that we are called sons and daughters of the living Sovereign God Almighty, for ours is indeed the kingdom of heaven!

A Prayer-- Obey the Word

Holy Father I seek you with all my heart and give thanks for all the rich blessings that I now enjoy in Jesus Christ: The blessings of your love Father, your favor, your forgiveness of all my sin; me treasured relationship with your Son. Father, I give thanks them all. 

I know full well Lord God that you have laid down your commands to me through Jesus Christ that I might obey you completely and wholeheartedly. O God, I pray earnestly that you would make my ways steadfast in obeying your word! Grant me an undivided and upright heart that I may learn to always praise your Holy Name! I will obey your word, Lord Jesus Christ; please do not utterly forsake me. 

How can I keep my way pure Father? By living according to your word! I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. I have hidden your precious word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Praise be to you, O Lord; teach me your decrees. With my lips I recount all the laws that come from your mouth. I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches. I meditate on your word and consider your ways; I delight in your commands Father; I will not neglect your word! 

When I repented of old ways Father, you answered me through faith in Jesus Christ; now let me understand the depth of your commands; Let me know the depth of you love through Christ. I pray that you would strengthen my faith in your word. Keep me from deceitful and disobedient ways; be gracious to me through your word.

I have chosen the way of truth in Jesus Christ; I have chosen the narrow road in Him; I have set my heart fully on your word Father. I hold steadfast to your Son; do not let me be put to shame, for I run in the path of your commands, for through Jesus Christ you have set my heart free from sin; you have set me free from death. 

May your unfailing love come to me, O Lord, your salvation in Jesus Christ, according to your promise! May I live to praise your very Holy name in the land of the living, and praise the name of your Son my great Lord and mighty Savior Jesus Christ, the Nazarene!

A Pray--of Strength 

O LORD God, enthroned in heaven, you alone are our God; and the maker of heaven and earth. Give ear, O LORD, and hear our prayers; open your eyes, O LORD, and look upon our need for your Son here on earth.

Because of your great mercy Father, we continue in your kindness through Jesus Christ our Lord. Remember, O LORD, how we have walked before you faithfully in Christ, and with wholehearted devotion have done what is good in your eyes each day. So please remember us O Lord as we wrestle with our thoughts and each day carry sorrow in our heart over the spiritual condition of this world. 

Look on us and answer, O LORD my God. Give light to the eyes of your people, because we trust in your unfailing love; grant us hearts that overflow with rejoicing in the salvation of Jesus Christ.

Lord Jesus, as the Saints face all kinds of grief and trials, I pray to always keep in mind that these times have come so that our faith—of greater worth than gold, may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Because even though we have not seen you Lord, we love you; we believe in you, and we pledge to follow you with all our heart, soul, and strength. 

For it is your love Jesus and your blood that compels us to overcome all evil, because we are convinced that you died for all, and therefore all died through you. And so Christ I pray to be strengthened with all your power to overcome this world according to your glorious might so that we may have great endurance and patience, and always joyfully give thanks to the Father. 

For our God, has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the Kingdom of God; and our God has redeemed us by the precious blood of our savior Jesus Christ. 

So I pray that out of your glorious riches that you may strengthen us with power through your Spirit in our inner being so that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith.

A Prayer—of Peace which Transcends 

Today Father I pray for the peace of God, which transcends all understanding; and may this peace forever guard our hearts and guard our minds in Christ Jesus.

Toward this end Lord we honor your command to rejoice in the Lord Jesus Christ always. I will pray it again O God for the Saints: may we rejoice in Him.

I pray that our gentleness be evident to all for you, our God are always near. I pray that we will not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by faithful prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present our requests to you, our God. And in all this, we give thanks for your promise that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will indeed guard our hearts and guard our minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally Lord God, I pray that whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—may we think about such things knowing that you our dear and loving Father, the God of peace will be with us.

A Prayer—for Wisdom

Lord God today I pray for a spirit of wisdom and revelation so that we may know you better.

Oh, the depth of the riches and the wisdom and the knowledge of you our God! How unsearchable your judgments Father, and how sovereign & blameless your ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord our God; or who has been your counselor? For from you and through you and to you O God is all things. 

So we pray for your wisdom Father, wisdom from heaven, to saturate all of our ways. We pray for wisdom that comes from heaven and is pure; peace-loving, considerate, reverently submissive, full of mercy and good fruit; we pray for wisdom that is impartial and sincere. 

May we possess the wisdom that fears you, O God, more than most do; for we know that the fear of the Lord our God is the beginning of wisdom, and through knowledge of the Holy One we gain understanding.

We give thanks Father, for this wisdom and understanding given to your Saints; wisdom and understanding found only by faith in the Holy One, Jesus Christ our Lord. So I pray that we may know the full riches of this wisdom and have a complete understanding of the Holy One, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom you have hidden all the treasures of wisdom of knowledge and of understanding. 

I pray also dear God, that the eyes of our hearts may be enlightened with this wisdom from heaven in order that we may know this hope to which you have called us heavenly in Christ Jesus our Lord; the riches of your glorious inheritance in the saints.

Father, I am so thankful that you always give this wisdom so generously without finding fault; I am so grateful for your love in revealing the wisdom of Christ to your saints; and I praise you and thank you for taking the time to hear and to answer these prayers for wisdom, revelation, knowledge and understanding.

We offer these prayers in loving reverence for your Holy Name.

A Prayer—Hunger & Thirst For Righteousness 

Lord God I remember the days that Jesus was on earth. Lord God I remember how He faithfully and wholeheartedly prayed to you with loud cries and tears. I remember his reverent submission to you! I remember His sorrowful prayers at Gethsemane! 

O God that you would grant me an undivided and submissive spirit of love for you, like that of Jesus Christ. Grant me a large desire to seek you wholeheartedly, like that of Jesus Christ; grant me a spirit to trust you completely, just like that of Jesus Christ! 

For my heart and soul yearns for your deep and abiding love O God; my soul thirsts for your divine presence in my life. As surely as you are the living God, when can I meet with you my God? When can I see your face?

My heart says to me “seek His face!” My soul says to me “hunger and thirst for His righteous!” So I seek your face O God; and I hunger and thirst for your righteousness. So seek your servant O God and fill my heart soul with your presence. 

My heart says to me earnestly seek Him, for He will reward you! My mind says to me store up His commands within you, for He will teach you. Your Spirit says to me turn your ear to His wisdom and apply your heart to His understanding. So Lord I call earnestly for deeper insight into Jesus Christ my Lord; I cry aloud today to know the depth of His love and His word. And I do so as one looking for silver or searching for hidden and great treasures. 
For my soul is consumed with longing for your glory and divine presence in my life at all times. I strive to lay hold of you my God. As it was with Jacob so it is also with me Lord, that I will never let you go until you bless me! I will never let you go until you strengthen me according to your word. For you alone give wisdom Father; and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. 

Your compassion is great, O Lord, so grant me the understanding of what it means to the fear you my God. Grant me the intimate knowledge and love of Jesus Christ my Lord. Hear my voice in accordance with your love O God; preserve my life in Christ according to your promise. 
May my cry come before you, O Lord; give me understanding according to your word. May my supplication come before you; deliver me according to your promise. May my lips overflow with praise, as you teach me your word! I long for your salvation, O Lord. I long to know you!

Oneness--Praying Scriptures—A Special Prayer Wednesday 11/14/2012 
A Prayer-of God’s Love & Faithfulness

Father, since we have gained confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, I pray that we your people would draw near to you God with sincere faithful hearts; that we would draw near to you God in full assurance of faith, since our hearts have been sprinkled with the blood of Christ cleansing us from a guilty conscience. 

I pray O God that we hold unswervingly to this faith, this hope, and this love which we profess, for we know and give thanks that you are faithful to all your promises to us in Christ Jesus our Lord. And I pray that we would consider each day how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds and encourage one another---and all the more as we see the Day of Salvation approaching. 

Toward that end, we pray that you would make our hearts steadfast O God in waiting upon you in prayer. May we sing and make music with all our soul as we wait for the day of our salvation. 

Until that day we will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; we will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love to us in Jesus Christ, O God; it is higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. 

So be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and let your glory be over all the earth. Save us and help us with the One at your right hand that those you love may be delivered in accordance with your word.

For your divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these you have given us your very great and precious promises, so that through them we may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. 

For this we thank you and we praise you,

Oneness--Praying Scriptures—A Special Prayer Tuesday 11/13/2012 
A Prayer-of Praise
I praise you Lord and give thanks, for you are good; and your love endures forever. Who can proclaim your mighty acts or fully declare your praise? 

Remember me, O Lord, when you show favor to your people, for I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness that you have granted me to know Christ Jesus my Lord. 

Come to my aid O God that I may gain Christ and be found in him always, not having a righteousness of my own, but a righteousness which is through faith in Christ. May I enjoy the prosperity of your spirit that I may share in the joy of your salvation and join your inheritance in giving praise to your holy name!

So I pray for a deep rich desire to really know and love Jesus Christ; and know the divine power of his resurrection from the dead; and know the intimate fellowship of sharing in his sufferings; becoming like Christ in his death, and somehow, someway, someday, O God, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.
