Oneness--Praying Scriptures—A Special Prayer Saturday 10/6/2012--A Prayer Glory, Confession, and Transformation.
"Heaven is your throne, O God, and the earth is your footstool. What house can i build for you dear God? What worthy sacrifices and offerings can a man offer in exchange for your grace? Has not your mighty hand made all things O Lord, and so you spoke all things into being?
So in reverence and thanks I come before you Father. In reverence I bow down before you. You yourself have been my Father; you yourself have loved me and shown yourself to me. You yourself have been my Father and taught me.
In your loving kindness and grace you led me to yourself despite my many sins and wickedness against you. Forgive me Lord for doubting your faithfulness at times. Forgive me Lord for I confess that I have been, at times, exactly what Jesus describes as "you of little one faith."
Despite this Lord, You are my heavenly Father. You are my God, and I do give you thanks, and I will and do exalt you and I Thank you for raising me up in Christ and seating me with him In the heavenly realms.
And I ask you today to continue your good work in me Father, by transforming me to become like one whom you esteem. Give me a humble and contrite spirit, that trembles at my word. Give me a heart like Jesus that seeks always to please you; to Trust in the you with all your heart and lean not on my own understanding; in all my ways to acknowledge and obey you my God, and I pray that you make my path in Christ straight.
Therefore Lord God, whatever I had gained in this world before knowing You, I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. In fact, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have surrendered my entire being to you my God.
I consider the things of this world rubbish that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from works but a righteousness found only by faith in Christ---for this is the true righteousness that comes from you God ; and it is by faith in Jesus Christ my Lord.
I pray that you plant in my heart a very deep desire to really really know Christ. I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, someway and someday to attain to the resurrection from the dead.
Not that I have already obtained all this, O God, or have already been made perfect, but I pray to persevere and press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.
Toward that end O God, I pray to forget what is behind and strain toward what is ahead. I pray to press on toward the goal to win the prize for which you my God have called me heavenward in Christ Jesus my Savior.
And through this path on the narrow road Father, may I never forget what you have already done in my life; may I never forget that you have cleansed me from all sin, never counting my sins against me.
And by the power and grace of your Holy Spirit, I pray to earnestly live up to what I have already attained by faith in Christ Jesus my Lord in whose name I offer these prayers.
Amen
