Oneness--Praying Scriptures—A Special Prayer Tuesday 10/30/2012

Oneness--Praying Scriptures—A Special Prayer Tuesday 10/30/2012
A Prayer—of Praise for the Judgments, the Wrath, & Mercies of Our God

Lord, you have been our dwelling place from Adam & Eve, and throughout all generations. Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you have been our God. You are the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob. You are the God of the holy apostles, and the prophets; you are the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

At your command O God, you turn men back to dust, saying, "Return to dust, O sons of men." For a thousand years in your sight is like a day that has just gone by! You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence; for nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must all give an account

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of our God! How unsearchable your judgments, and your paths beyond tracing out. Who knows the power of your anger? Your wrath is as great as the fear that is due your name! Who has known the mind of the Lord God? Or who has been your counselor in your awesome judgments?

For your mighty wrath is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of the world, since what may be known about you God is plain to mankind, because you have made it plain. For since the creation of the world O God, your invisible qualities—your eternal power, your divine nature, and the revelation of Jesus Christ--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made; understood from the One who has been revealed, so that mankind is without excuse for its lack of faith.

For you are just in these judgments O God, you who are and who were, the Holy One, because you have so judged; so in your divine wrath O God remember you tender mercies promised to those who love your name. Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love in Christ that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.

May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us and in us O God---yes, establish in us the righteousness, holiness and redemption our Lord Jesus Christ.

In His Name I Pray,
