Oneness--Praying Scriptures—A Special Prayer Friday 10/26/2012

Oneness--Praying Scriptures—A Special Prayer Friday 10/26/2012
A Prayer—of Thanksgiving for the Unsearchable Sovereignty, Wisdom, & Knowledge of our God

I pray, O Lord God Almighty, for a heart to pursue the righteousness of Christ, to pursue godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Father, I pray for a steadfast spirit to fight the good fight of the faith, and to take firm hold of the eternal life to which you called me when I made my good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

I pray that you keep me safe on this narrow road in Christ, O God, for in you I take refuge. You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing. LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure in Christ. By your great mercy, the boundary lines of Christ have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance in Him.

So in the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, I give you thanks, O God. Above all, Lord God, I give you thanks for who you are and all that you have done. For in your mighty power and justice you have bound all men over to disobedience so that, in the riches of your kindness, tolerance and patience in Christ, you may have mercy on us all.

You are our sovereign God; the blessed and only Ruler; you are the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light.

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge you our precious God! How unsearchable are your awesome judgments, and your paths are beyond tracing out. Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been your counselor? Who has ever given to you O God that you should repay? For from you and through you and to you are all things.

To you be the glory in our lives, and in the body of Christ, forever and always O God!
In Christ Name I Pray
Amen.
