A Prayer—Spiritual Growth & Fruit
Our Blessed and Holy God, maker of heaven and earth and everything in
them, I pray that you fill us with the knowledge of your will, through
all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And I pray this in order that we
may live a life worthy of our Lord Jesus Christ; and I pray that we may
please you in every way.
As
King David prays in Psalm 19:14 so I pray O God: “May the words of my
mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord,
my Rock and my Redeemer.”
May we bear abundant fruit in every
good work, and grow in the precious knowledge of our God, being
strengthened by you with all power according to your glorious might so
that we may have great endurance and patience, always joyfully giving
thanks to you our God.
For because of your great mercy Father
you have qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in the
kingdom of light. So I praise you Lord and I thank you that through the
blood of Christ, you have rescued us from the dominion of darkness and
brought us into the kingdom of the Son that you love, in whom we have
redemption, the incredible gift of the forgiveness of all sin.
I thank you for this gift Lord; I thank you for this life; may your Kingdom come, may your will be done.
In Christ Name I Pray
Amen
