Oneness--Praying Scriptures—A Special Prayer Tuesday 10/2/2012 A Prayer--of Confession & God’s Mercy
Since ancient times Father, no one has heard, no ear has perceived, nor has any eye seen any God besides you. I praise you O God, and I thank you that you faithfully act on behalf of those who wait for you in prayer.
When I was dead in my sin Lord; when my heart was grieved and my spirit embittered, I was senseless and ignorant of your ways. In my pride and wickedness I did not seek you. In all my thoughts there was no room for you. Surely I was like a brute beast before you.
All of us here on earth have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of our God; without Christ we had become like one who is unclean, and all of our righteous acts were like filthy rags. Who is it Lord that calls wholeheartedly on your name without Christ? Whom is it Lord that strives to lay hold of you, even among those who are in Christ?
Yet despite all our sins and transgressions against you Lord, you came to help us and you rescued us through faith in Jesus Christ. By your great and tender mercy Father I am always with you, through Him; you hold me by my right hand, through Him. You guide me with the counsel of your Holy Spirit, because of Him; and afterward you will take me up into your glory, through Him, Christ Jesus my Lord.
For the sake of your name O God, continue to look upon us with mercy, through Him. For whom have I in heaven but you Lord Jesus? Surely the earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but you O God are the strength of my heart; you lord Jesus are my salvation. For we are but clay O God, and you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand. I give thanks Lord that in Christ Jesus you remember our sins no more!
As for me, it is good to be near you, my God. I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge; I will tell of all your mighty salvation. In my gratitude and the joy of my salvation O lord, post me as your prayer-watchman over the house of God. May my prayers and the cries of my heart never be silent, day or night, before you!
May I give myself no rest in prayer, nor may I give you, my God, no rest until your awesome prophesy of Christ is fulfilled: “that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” In Jesus Name I Pray Amen Psalm 73:21-28, Isaiah 64:4-9, Psalm 10:4-5, Isaiah 62:6-7, Philippians 2:10-12, Romans 3:23
