A Prayer—Of Peace That Transcends Understanding

Holy Father, today and always I rejoice in my Lord Jesus Christ. I will forever rejoice in the salvation of Christ Jesus my savior. I pray for a gentle and loving heart that, by grace, be evident to all, Father, for we know that you are near.

I pray that we would not be anxious about anything today, but every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, may we faithfully present all our requests to you our God. 

And in so doing Father, may the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, jealously guard our hearts and our minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, Lord, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—I pray that we think about such things knowing that you, our God of peace, will always be with us.

For in all the challenges of life, I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. By your grace, O God, have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want; and I give you sincere thanks this day, that by your grace given me, I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.

A Prayer--for Wisdom and Understanding 

Father, I pray that this day, and every day of my life, that I will accept your every word, and store up the commands of Christ deep in my heart; I turn my ears to your wisdom Father, and apply my heart to understanding the mystery of Jesus Christ.

Lord Jesus, I call out today for deeper insight into the love and knowledge of Christ; and cry aloud for understanding of the way the Father has chosen for me. May I seek you on this narrow road as if looking for silver or gold. May I search for it as if looking for hidden treasure; and may you grant me the great gift to understand what it means to fear the Lord my God; and may we find the precious knowledge of God found only in Jesus Christ.

For only the Lord our God gives wisdom; and from your mouth come knowledge and understanding. Jesus, may you always be a shield for my life, and keep my way blameless before you. For you will guard and protect the course of my life, and keep me as one of your faithful ones.

In your name I pray

Oneness--Praying Scriptures—A Special Prayer Saturday 10/6/2012--A Prayer Glory, Confession, and Transformation.

"Heaven is your throne, O God, and the earth is your footstool. What house can i build for you dear God? What worthy sacrifices and offerings can a man offer in exchange for your grace? Has not your mighty hand made all things O Lord, and so you spoke all things into being?

So in reverence and thanks I come before you Father. In reverence I bow down before you. You yourself have been my Father; you yourself have loved me and shown yourself to me. You yourself have been my Father and taught me.

In your loving kindness and grace you led me to yourself despite my many sins and wickedness against you. Forgive me Lord for doubting your faithfulness at times. Forgive me Lord for I confess that I have been, at times, exactly what Jesus describes as "you of little one faith."

Despite this Lord, You are my heavenly Father. You are my God, and I do give you thanks, and I will and do exalt you and I Thank you for raising me up in Christ and seating me with him In the heavenly realms.

And I ask you today to continue your good work in me Father, by transforming me to become like one whom you esteem. Give me a humble and contrite spirit, that trembles at my word. Give me a heart like Jesus that seeks always to please you; to 
Trust in the you with all your heart and lean not on my own understanding; in all my ways to acknowledge and obey you my God, and I pray that you make my path in Christ straight.

Therefore Lord God, whatever I had gained in this world before knowing You, I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. In fact, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have surrendered my entire being to you my God.

I consider the things of this world rubbish that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from works but a righteousness found only by faith in Christ---for this is the true righteousness that comes from you God ; and it is by faith in Jesus Christ my Lord.

I pray that you plant in my heart a very deep desire to really really know Christ. I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, someway and someday to attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Not that I have already obtained all this, O God, or have already been made perfect, but I pray to persevere and press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

Toward that end O God, I pray to forget what is behind and strain toward what is ahead. I pray to press on toward the goal to win the prize for which you my God have called me heavenward in Christ Jesus my Savior.

And through this path on the narrow road Father, may I never forget what you have already done in my life; may I never forget that you have cleansed me from all sin, never counting my sins against me. 

And by the power and grace of your Holy Spirit, I pray to earnestly live up to what I have already attained by faith in Christ Jesus my Lord in whose name I offer these prayers.

Oneness--Praying Scriptures—A Special Prayer Friday 10/5/2012 
A Prayer--of Perseverance & Deliverance

Out of the depths of my soul I cry to you, O Lord for strength; O Lord, hear my prayers this day to persevere in my love and faithfulness to you. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy, and for strength. 

Though your promise is true, that in this world we will have troubles, I wait for you LORD; my soul waits for your mighty deliverance; I wait also for your promise of salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord; for I have put my hope in your Son, I have placed my hope in your word.

Do not let me be overcome by evil or the worries of this life Father; do not let me be overwhelmed by the deceitfulness of wealth; do not let your word in me be chocked by the desires for other things. I pray earnestly Lord for a noble and a good heart, which hears the word, understands your word; retains your word; and by persevering produces good fruit in Christ names.

If you, O LORD, had kept a record of my sins, I could not stand in your Divine presence. But with you there is forgiveness by Christ Jesus my Savior; so I have put all my hope in you through Him. In Him you have demonstrated your unfailing love to me; and in Him you have granted me your full and complete redemption even when I was in the pit.

So I thank you Lord God; although I did not deserve it, you set my feet high on the Rock and gave me a firm place to stand in your grace. Jesus, you put a new song of joy in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. So please listen to my cry for help, for you are my King and my God, and it is to you I pray. My heart says of you, “Seek his face! ”Your face, O LORD, I do seek. 

Do not hide your face from me, Lord, nor turn your servant away in anger; for you have been my helper. In accordance with your promise O Lord, do not reject me or forsake me, O God my Savior. Because of your great love O Lord, I am confident that I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living someday. 

Therefore I will be strong in you Lord and in your mighty power; I will be joyful in the hope of my salvation; I will be in patient in the afflictions that I face; And Lord I will be faithful in prayer to you my God.

Though the arrows of the enemy are many, my heart rejoices in you O God; my heart rejoice in your Son; and I trust in your Holy name; For you O Sovereign LORD are my strength.

A Prayer--of Pure, Absolute Glory & Reverence

Great and marvelous are your deeds Lord God Almighty; just and true are all your ways, O’ King of the ages. Who will not fear you, O Lord God, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you O God, for your righteous acts in Christ have been revealed.

Therefore, day and night, O God may we never stop praying and declaring with all of our heart that holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, the one who was, you are the one who is, and you are the one who is to come.

And I give praise that you alone are worthy, my Lord and my God, to receive glory and honor and power, and thanks, for Father, you created all things, and by your will they were all created and have their being. For in you Lord we live, and we move and we have our being.

And Lord Jesus Christ, we confess that you are worthy to take our Fathers scroll and may you open its seals of judgment soon; because you were slain, and with your blood Christ you purchased us all for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. Lord Jesus you have made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and may your will reign here on earth through your Saints.

Therefore I declare in a loud voice that worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise! To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb are praise and honor and glory and power, forever and ever!

A Prayer--of Confession & God’s Mercy 

Since ancient times Father, no one has heard, no ear has perceived, nor has any eye seen any God besides you. I praise you O God, and I thank you that you faithfully act on behalf of those who wait for you in prayer.

When I was dead in my sin Lord; when my heart was grieved and my spirit embittered, I was senseless and ignorant of your ways. In my pride and wickedness I did not seek you. In all my thoughts there was no room for you. Surely I was like a brute beast before you. 

All of us here on earth have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of our God; without Christ we had become like one who is unclean, and all of our righteous acts were like filthy rags. Who is it Lord that calls wholeheartedly on your name without Christ? Whom is it Lord that strives to lay hold of you, even among those who are in Christ? 

Yet despite all our sins and transgressions against you Lord, you came to help us and you rescued us through faith in Jesus Christ. By your great and tender mercy Father I am always with you, through Him; you hold me by my right hand, through Him. You guide me with the counsel of your Holy Spirit, because of Him; and afterward you will take me up into your glory, through Him, Christ Jesus my Lord. 

For the sake of your name O God, continue to look upon us with mercy, through Him. For whom have I in heaven but you Lord Jesus? Surely the earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but you O God are the strength of my heart; you lord Jesus are my salvation. For we are but clay O God, and you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand. I give thanks Lord that in Christ Jesus you remember our sins no more!

As for me, it is good to be near you, my God. I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge; I will tell of all your mighty salvation. In my gratitude and the joy of my salvation O lord, post me as your prayer-watchman over the house of God. May my prayers and the cries of my heart never be silent, day or night, before you! 

May I give myself no rest in prayer, nor may I give you, my God, no rest until your awesome prophesy of Christ is fulfilled: “that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

A Prayer of Praise and Gratitude for Deliverance 

I love you, O Lord, my strength for you are my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, you are my shield, and the horn of my salvation; Lord God you are my stronghold.

I call to you Lord, for you are worthy of praise, and you saved me from the enemy. The cords of death entangled me; the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me. The cords of the grave coiled around me; the snares of death confronted me. In my distress I called to you Lord Jesus Christ; I cried to my God for help. From heaven you heard my voice; my cry came before you.

You reached down from on high and took hold of me; you drew me out of the deep waters of sin and death. You rescued me from the power of the enemy, from my foe, who were too strong for me. The arrows of the enemy confronted me in the midst of my trails, but the Lord God Almighty was my support, and my mighty deliverer.

You brought me out into the spaciousness and mercy of Jesus Christ; you rescued me since you delighted in me because of Christ. The Lord God has dealt with me according to my righteousness found only in Jesus Christ; according to the cleanness of my hands because of the Cross. 

For I pledge to always keep the ways of my Lord Jesus Christ; may I never sin by turning from you my God, since your word is ever before me; I have not turned away from your commands. I have been blameless before you and have kept myself from sin. 

May you, O Lord, keep my lamp in Christ burning; my God turns my darkness into light. 
With your help I can advance against any trial; with my God I can overcome all. As for you God, your way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; you are a shield to all who take refuge in you through Christ. For who is God Almighty besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God? 

It is you God who arms me with strength; and it is you Father that keeps my way secure. May your right hand Jesus Christ sustain me always; The Lord God lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God my Savior! He is the God who saves me, Therefore I will praise you, Lord, among the Saints; I will sing the praises of your Holy name.
