A Prayer—The Glory of God
O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise.
O righteous God, who searches minds and hearts and who saves the faithful in Christ Jesus our savior, I give thanks to you because of your righteousness and will sing praises to the name of the Lord God Most High.
I pray to know and delight myself in you O God; in your invisible qualities, your eternal power and your divine nature; and delight myself day after day in Christ, rejoicing always in your presence; delight myself in your love, your mercy, and your favor.
I am unworthy O God to approach your Holy Presence! In all that you have done through me and commanded me to do Father, I am an unworthy servant of the Most High God; I have only done my duty.
When I consider your heavens, O Most High, the work of your fingers, the moon, the stars and the universe, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of him, the son of mankind that you care for him?
You made us a little lower than the heavenly beings yet crowned us with glory and honor. You made us ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under our feet: all flocks and herds, and the beasts of the field, the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas.
O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
In Christ Name I Pray
Amen
