A Prayer—A Life Honoring the Word of God
Your statutes, O Lord, are wonderful. The unfolding of your words gives light to my spirit; it gives understanding to the heart. I open my heart to you O God longing to live out your eternal word in my life each day.
Turn to me and have mercy on me, as you always do to those who love your name. Direct my footsteps in Christ according to your word O God; let no sin rule over me. Make your face shine upon your servant and teach me your decrees.
Your promises have been thoroughly tested, and your servant loves them dearly, and meditates on them day and night.
Your righteousness is everlasting and your word is true so your commands are my delight. Your statutes are forever right; give me understanding that I may live in Christ forever. I call with all my heart longing for your salvation; answer me, O Lord, and I will obey your word.
I call out to you; save me through Christ and I will keep your statutes, for I have put my hope in your word. Hear my voice in accordance with your love; preserve my life in Christ, O Lord, according to your promises.
I give thanks, O Lord that you are near to us on this narrow road, for all your commands are true. Since both your promises and your compassion are great, O Lord preserve and prosper my life in Christ with good and abundant fruit according to your word.
