Oneness--Praying Scriptures—A Special Prayer Tuesday 10/16/2012
A Prayer—of Transformation

Since we have been raised with Christ, O God, please help us to set our hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at your right hand. Yes Lord, may we set our minds on things above, not on earthly things. For In Christ Jesus we died, and we thank you that our lives are now hidden with Christ in you, our God. So we praise you Father, and we thank you that when Christ, who is our life appears, then we also will appear with him in glory.

Therefore I pray in earnest that we put to death whatever belongs to our earthly nature: including sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, all of which is idolatry; and may we put to death anything else in our lives that is not pleasing to you, our God. We know Lord that it is because of these that the wrath of God is coming.

I give thanks that because of your great mercy to us in Christ, the old self was taken off and the new self put on, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image our Creator, The Lord God Almighty is his name.

But now O God, I pray that we rid ourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from our lips. As your chosen people Father, holy and dearly loved by you, I pray that we clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

I pray that we bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances we may have against one another. Empower us to forgive O God, just, as in Christ Jesus, you forgave us.

And over all these virtues Father, I pray that we put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. I pray that the peace of Christ rule in our hearts, since as members of one body we were called to peace. And I pray that we would always be thankful.

Let the word of Christ dwell in us richly, O God. When we come together to sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs may our hearts overflow with gratitude to you our God for all that you have done for us through Jesus Christ our Lord.

And whatever we you do, Father, whether in word or deed, I pray that we do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to you, our God and Father through him.
In Christ Name I Pray,
Amen

A Prayer--of Reverence for The Glory of God & The Lamb

Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty; just and true are all your ways, O’ King of the ages. Who will not fear you, O Lord God, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. For this reason O God, day and night, we declare that: that holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, the one who was, the one who is, you are the one who is to come.

And you are worthy, my Lord and my God, to receive glory and honor and power, and thanks, for you created all things, and by your will they were all created and we have our being.

And Lord Jesus Christ, we give thanks that you are worthy to take our Father’s scroll and open its seals of judgment, because you were slain; and with your own blood you purchased us all for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.

Worthy is the Lamb of God, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!

To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, forever and ever!

In Christ Name I Pray
Amen!

A Prayer—for Bearing Good Fruit in a Life Christ

I pray, O God, that you would fill us with the knowledge of your will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And I pray this in order that we may live a life worthy of the Lord Jesus Christ and may please you, our God, in every way: may we bear good fruit in every good work, and grow in the knowledge of God; may we be strengthened with all power according to your glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, in carrying out your work here on earth, while joyfully giving thanks in all circumstances.

Father, as we lead others to follow Christ, I pray that we and they, together , become like seed sown on good soil, to hear the word, to accept it, and produce a crop—thirty, sixty or even a hundred times what you have generously in our hearts. So Dear God, I pray for you to open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, and proclaim it clearly, as we should.

As we draw near to you O God, in sincere & wholehearted devotion, even in weakness, I pray that you would draw near to us. I pray that we would be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that we may have the full riches of a complete understanding, in order that we may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Above all Lord God may the pray of our Lord Jesus Christ be fulfilled in us and in all those that will know you through our message: that we would know you, the one true God; and that we would know Jesus Christ whom you sent.

In Christ Name I Pray,
Amen

A Prayer-- To Grasp the Powerful Love of Christ

For all of these reasons I kneel before you Father, from whom the whole family in heaven and on earth derive our names. I pray that out of your glorious riches that you strengthen each of us with power through the Holy Spirit in our inner being, so that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith.

And I pray that we would be deeply rooted and established in love, and be granted the power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge--that we may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Now to you, our God, knowing that you are able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or even begin to imagine, according to your power that is at work within us, to you be glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus our savior throughout all generations, forever and ever!
In Christ Name I Pray
Amen!

A Prayer—a Circumcised Heart & Life in Christ

Holy Father just as I received Christ Jesus as my Lord, I pray to continue to live in him, rooted and built up in Him; strengthened in my faith in Him, with a heart that overflows with gratitude and thankfulness for Him.

I pray to never be taken captive by hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.

For in you, Christ Jesus our Lord, all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form; and by the grace of God I give thanks that I have been given fullness in you Christ as you reign over every power and authority.

For in you Christ, my heart was circumcised to fully obey God and live a life of self-denial; in you Christ I’ve been empowered by the kindness of God to throw off everything that hinders; and to repent of the sin that can so easily entangle. I give thanks Lord Jesus, that I have been buried with you in the waters of baptism and raised with you through faith in the power of God, who raised you from the dead.

For when I was dead in my sins and in the uncircumcision of my sinful nature, God had mercy on me and made me alive with you Jesus, The Christ. I thank God that, that through you Lord Jesus, God forgave all my sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; I give praise and thanks to you O God, that you simply took all my sins away, nailing them to the cross. And then, having disarmed the powers and authorities, O God, I praise you that in your sovereign and divine power you made a public spectacle of the rulers and authorities that had taken hold of this world, triumphing over them by the cross.

So Lord God, I give you my heart in steadfast loyalty; I set my face like flint against the enemy, and I know I will not be put to shame as you complete the good work you began in me until the day of Christ Jesus our Lord. Please grant me a spirit that will always be faithful to you; for I believe in O God and trust in my mighty deliverance.

Because it is you O Sovereign Lord that helps me, I pray to continue to work out my salvation with fear and trembling; for it is you, our God, and our Father who works in me to will and to act according to your good purpose.

Amen

A Prayer—of Relationship

I love you, O LORD, my strength. You are my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge; you are my shield, and the horn of my salvation.

My Lord, Jesus Christ, you are my light and my redemption, whom shall I fear? You are the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid? When evil & temptation come against me, they will stumble and fall. Though many trails besiege me, my heart will not fear; though spiritual war breaks out against me, even then I will be confident.

One thing I ask of you Father, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life; to gaze on the beauty and majesty of the LORD and always seek you with all my heart, with all my soul, with my entire mind, and with all my strength.

For in the days of trouble you keep safely in Christ. For you are my God and I will give you thanks; you are my God, and I will exalt you. I give you thanks Lord, for you alone are good, and your steadfast love for me endures forever.
In Christ Name I Pray,
Amen

A Prayer—For God’s Works on Our Behalf

I will shout with joy to you O God; may all the earth sing the glory of your name and make your praises glorious for all to hear. We say to you, O God, how awesome are your deeds! For you have done marvelous things; He who is at your right hand, your holy arm Jesus Christ, has worked mankind’s salvation for you.

So great is your power Father, that your enemies cringe before you. We shall come and see what you, our God, have done, how awesome are your works in man's behalf! You have placed your word in our minds and written it on the tablets of our hearts. You are our God, and we are your people. Through Christ Jesus we have been blessed with the knowledge of you, our God; and because of Christ Jesus you have forgiven our wickedness and you remember our sins no more.

For you, O God, test us and you refine us in Christ as like silver. So we testify to your grace and say, “Come and listen, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me. I cried out to God with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue. If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer. Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!”

So Father, let this be my testimony from now on: “God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.”

Therefore God, we give thanks for this precious life in Christ as we look forward to your promise to create new heavens and a new earth. Oh how we look forward to your promises that the former things of the current creation will not be remembered; nor will they even come to mind!

So we are glad O God, and will rejoice forever in what you will create while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. Yes, He is coming soon. Come, Lord Jesus, come!

Amen
