Each day this Blog posts prayer from the Word of God that you can pray each day. The prayers are modified to make them very personal and all are Jesus Christ focused. You are encouraged to post your own prayers from scriptures as well. The Author, Jack Pinnock, is an Elder and The Prayer Ministry Director of The Real Life Church.

Oneness--Praying Scriptures—A Special Prayer Sunday 8/19/2012
A Prayer of Affirmation of Faith and Gratitude
(Scriptures Below)
I thank you Father for including me among God’s elect. We are strangers in this world Lord, yet chosen according to the foreknowledge of you our God and Father. Through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, you have called us to obedience to Jesus Christ our Lord, and covered us with sprinkling by his blood for the forgiveness of all sins.
And for me Lord there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom I live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom I live. May your eyes always be upon those who fear you Lord God; may you always guard and protect those whose hope is in your unfailing love given us through Christ Jesus our Lord.
So I earnestly pray to always wait patiently in hope for your mighty deliverance O God; for you are my help and my shield. In you our hearts rejoice, for we trust in your Holy name; we trust in your Son Jesus Christ. I pray that your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you all day long.
For the joy of the LORD Jesus is my strength. Though I have not seen you Lord as the Apostles did, I love you; and even though I do not see you now, I believe in you; therefore may you fill me with your inexpressible and glorious joy, for in all my trials and struggles I am indeed receiving the goal of my faith, the salvation of my soul.
So I will forever praise you, the God and Father of my Lord Jesus Christ! For In your great mercy God, you has given me new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead; In your great mercy you have given me an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade; in your great mercy you have kept our salvation tucked away in heaven for all those who, through faith, are shielded by your great power.
In this salvation Lord God, I greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, we may have to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. I praise you Lord God even in these storms. For they have come so that my faith—of greater worth than gold,—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
So I pray Lord that you make my faith genuine through these trials as you have promised; make my faith one of sincere and devoted love for you; love for Christ; love for my neighbor; love for the church.
As you have written Lord “Be holy, because I am holy.” Therefore as obedient children make us holy in all that we do. I praise you Lord and I thank you.
In Christ Name I Pray
Amen
