Oneness--Praying Scriptures—A Special Prayer Thursday 11/8/2012
A Prayer—of a Grateful, Obedient, Child of God who Overcomes the World

Praise the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, you are very great; you are clothed with splendor and majesty. So I pray to you, O LORD, in the time of your favor; in your great love, O God, answer us with your promised salvation in Jesus Christ.

I give thanks that everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God; we are grateful for being allowed to participate in such a great salvation; grateful to participate in your holiness. With all our heart we give thanks and praise to you O God, that everyone who truly loves you loves Jesus your son as well.

I pray that we would love the children of God and demonstrate this by loving you and obeying your commands. For it is clear to us O God, that loving you must be demonstrated by obeying your commands. So grant us willing hearts to honor you, Father, to love you, and to obey you in everything.

Concerning you great commands O God; we give sincere thanks that your commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God is granted divine power & strength to overcome this world. So we pray to use this divine power each day O God, to demolish the strongholds around us that would dare attempt to set themselves up against the knowledge of God in our lives; and may we, your disciples, take captive every thought to make them obedient to Jesus Christ.

By you awesome power and mercy, this is the victory that you have granted us to overcome the world O God: our faith in Jesus Christ. For we know and give thanks that only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of the living God can overcome this world

So I pray for great power in our testimony Lord, the testimony of your Saints: that you have given us eternal life, and this life is in your son. He who has the Son of God has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
In Christ Name I Pray Amen

A Prayer of Praise

I praise you Lord God, with all my heart. I praise you for your mercy; I praise you for your goodness; I praise you for your faithfulness; and I praise you for the love and kindness that you have shown me through Jesus Christ my Lord. With all my soul I praise you Lord. For my entire life, I will praise.

As the congregation gathers for worship Father, I will sing praises to my God, and give thanks; in private, when no one else is around, I will praise you in secret, and give thanks.

I pray to reflect the heart and mind of Christ, and to not put my trust in the things of this world nor in mortal men, who cannot save me. But, may my trust be in you, Father all day long. May my heart overflow with continuous thanks for the blessings that you have bestowed on all those who believe that Jesus is the son of God, whose hope is in the Lamb of God for salvation.

For through Jesus Christ our Lord you made the heavens and the earth. Through Christ you made the seas and everything that is in them. As your word says: it is through Jesus that you made the whole Universe!

You are my God, and I thank you for your love and your faithfulness towards me. Father, I have not earned it nor do I deserve it. May your right hand uphold my cause O Lord! For it is you Jesus that have set me free from the prison of sin and death, and for this I will praise you. You gave me sight when I was blind; you give me eyes to see and ears to hear your voice. When I am bowed down low you lifted me up out of my pit of despair.

You have loved your Saints and made of us the righteousness of God, even when we were dead in our sin. You watch over us and sustain us Lord, even when we are lonely or even fatherless. You reign forever Lord God Almighty and I will praise you Holy name.
In Christ Name I Pray
Amen

A Prayer--Warfare

Lord in view of your great mercy, I pray to faithfully offer my body as a living sacrifice, holy, pure and pleasing to you as my spiritual act of worship.

I pray that we, your people, not conform to the pattern of this world any longer, but may you transform our hearts and renew our minds in Christ Jesus. Teach us Lord God to test and to approve your good, pleasing and perfect will in our lives. I pray that the body of Christ would be devoted to brotherly love, and always Honor others in Christ above ourselves.

Lord Jesus, may we never be lacking in zeal for our God, but keep our spiritual fervor serving you always. I pray for joy in our hope of eternal life; I pray to be patient in afflictions; may we be devoted to daily prayer and trust in you with all our heart; never leaning on our own understanding; but in all our ways to acknowledge you our God, and I pray that you will keep our paths straight.

For though we live in this world Lord God, we refuse to wage war as the world does. The powerful weapons of our faith in the death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of Christ are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God; and by the divine power of Christ, we take captive every thought and make them all obedient to Jesus Christ.

O Lord our God, be not far off in this battle; O my Strength, always come quickly to help us. Deliver our lives from all evil; our precious life in Christ from the power of darkness. Rescue us from the devils schemes; save us from his flaming arrows.

For dominion belongs to you Lord and you rule over heaven and earth. I praise you that you always and forever will work through to the good in the lives of all who love you, and who fear your holy name.

Amen

A Prayer--to Ask, Seek, Knock

Holy Father, I thank you for the overflow of hope that you have given us through the power of your Holy Spirit; and I thank you Father for being allowed to participate in your holiness and your divine nature. I pray that you would enable each of us to devote ourselves faithfully to prayer each day and may we watch and wait patiently for your answers; and may our hearts overflow with joy and thanksgiving as we receive them.

For according to your great promise of the Holy Spirit you said; “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"

Therefore Lord, I thank you for the deposit of your Holy Spirit which you have given us, guaranteeing our inheritance into the Kingdom; and in accordance with your promise I ask for a greater anointing; I seek the depths of a life filled with the joy of the Holy Spirit Father, and I pray to always find it each day; Lord Jesus I knock on your door for the mighty anointing of your Holy Spirit, knowing that you will open fully and completely the doors of the riches of a life filled completely with your Holy Spirit.

May it please you our God and Father to have the Holy Spirit dwell richly and powerfully in our hearts and in increasing measure each day!

I pray also that the Words of Christ may dwell in us richly as we labor with all my heart for the gospel of our Savior; may we, as one, continue to struggle with all your divine energy Jesus, which works so powerfully in your Saints.

May your Kingdom come, Almighty God; may your will be done.

A Prayer—More Than Conquerors

Holy Father since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses in heaven, I pray for the strength today to throw off everything that hinders us from a deep loving obedient relationship with Jesus Christ my Lord.

I pray for the strength from heaven to throw off the sin that can so easily deceive and entangle us. I pray for the strength to run with divine perseverance the race marked out for us, and forever fixing our eyes upon Jesus Christ, the author and perfector of our faith.

And Father, what should I say in response to this great salvation? If you our God is for us, who can be against us? Who shall separate us from the love of God in Jesus Christ our Lord? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or the sword? For the sake of Christ, Father, we face self-denial and death-to-self all day long with great joy; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered for sake of the gospel of peace!

So, I give thanks to you our God that in all these things we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus who loves us. For Father I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

In His Mighty Name I Pray This Father,
Amen

A Prayer--of Heart’s Desires of the Saints

Lord, I pray that you grant us the spiritual desires of our heart! I pray that the saints will always lovingly and faithfully desire to delight in God our savior!

Our heart’s desire is to know you the one true God, and to intimately know Jesus Christ whom you sent;

Our heart’s desire O God is to love you with all our heart; with all our soul; with all our mind; and with all our strength; and, I pray, that we love others as you command.

Father, our heart’s desire, is to trust in you with all our heart; and not lean on our own understanding; but in all our ways to acknowledge you, and to trust that in Christ you will always keep the path of the saints straight.

Father my heart’s desire is to seek your face always for you are our very great reward.

So please Lord God, magnify and fulfill these desires in the hearts of your saints! May each and every word of our mouth and the meditation of our hearts be pleasing in your sight O Lord; our God; our rock and our redeemer!

A Prayer—For the Saints

Father, may the Saints all over the earth shout for joy to the Lord this day. Open our hearts to worship the Lord our God with gladness; and come before you with joyful songs.

For we know Father, from your word, that the Lord Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.

It is he, who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. So, Lord God may the Saints enter your gates with thanksgiving and your courts praising your salvation. I pray that we always give thanks for the blood of Christ and praise his holy name.

For the Lord our God is good and you faithful love to us in Christ endures forever; your faithfulness continues through all generations of your Saints.

Amen
